报告题目:“How can biomimetic sonar be an alternative for classic robot sonar?"
报 告 人:Herbert Peremans,安特卫普大学教授(比利时)
报告时间:2017年6月26日(周一)下午15:00
报告地点:航海学院大楼201会议室
邀 请 人:杨长生副教授
报告简介:Both the biomimetic design philosophy in general and sonar sensing for autonomous robots will be introduced. An introduction into the concept of biomimetic design and show, using some examples, how it differs from more traditional engineering design approaches will be given. Next, a systematic high-level overview of the physical/engineering principles behind the operation of robotic sonar sensors will be provided. At last report will be finished with a discussion of the different approaches roboticist have taken when designing sonar systems for their autonomous robot systems.
报告人简介:Herbert Peremans is a professor at the Faculty of Applied Economics, Department of Engineering Management, at the University of Antwerp (UA). He is the head of the Active Perception Lab. The work in the lab is oriented towards the development of biomimetic sensors, in particular bat-inspired sonar systems, for environment perception by autonomous systems. Recently, he also joined the Environment Economics group, where his research is oriented towards studying the use/design of microgrids as building blocks for macrogrids.
